Last week I attended the Detroit Flower Week presented by Lisa Waud, owner of Pot and Box and artist behind the Detroit Flower House project. To say the week was inspiring is an understatement. I got to see demonstrations and lectures from some of the best floral designers in the world including Josef Massie, Ariella Chezar, Holly Chapple and Emily Thompson. I sold my vertical gardens at the event and even got to talk to Farmgirl Flowers owner Christina Stembel (this is an amazing company if you haven’t heard of it!). The highlight of the week was Lisa’s overview of the Detroit Flower House. If you’ve never heard of this remarkable project, please check it out.
