This week I’m sharing Mother’s Day DIY gift ideas everyday. Of course, all the projects will feature plants and flowers. I’m also doing a giveaway! (see details below).

I’m kicking off this handmade gift series with these mini dried bouquet cards.  I saw something similar in a little floral shop during my layover in China and knew I had to make one when I got home!

Mother’s Day Mini Bouquet (Posie) Card

What you need:
  • small dried flowers or fresh flowers good for drying (they can dry in the bouquet…I used multiple varieties of statice, seeded eucalyptus, and baby’s breath)
  • floral or scotch tape
  • craft paper
  • craft glue
  • scissors

For card (optional)
  • craft paper
  • glue stick
  • template or card
  • paper cutter

Mini dried bouquet:
  1. Cut flower stems about 3” long.
  2. Arrange into a mini bouquet between your fingers. If you are planning to make a card, make a one sided bouquet, with a flat side and a flower-full side.
  3. Wrap the gathered stems with tape to hold.
  4. Cut the craft paper into a 3”x2” rectangle.
  5. Roll craft paper into a cone and secure with craft glue.
  6.  Glue a line inside your cone. Stuff the bouquet into the cone, pressing onto your line of glue. Cut excess stems. Let dry.

Card:
  1. Use a card you have or create your own card using our template.
  2. If you’re using the template, print and cut out the image. To add a backing, cut a 4.5”x 6” rectangle from the craft paper. You can write a message to the mom you're celebrating here. Use the glue stick to attach the template onto the back of the craft paper.
  3. Use craft glue to attach your mini dried bouquet to the finished card.

Voila! A Mother’s Day Posie card.

Instagram Giveaway! I’m giving away one of my wildflower terrarium necklaces launching soon in the Leelee’s Garden botanical craft shop. If you know me, you’ve probably seen me wearing one of these.
