If you’ve been to one of my basic floral design workshops, you’ve surely heard me mention how much I love alstroemeria, the “Peruvian lily.” I actually never liked them much before I started designing. They had a papery look to them and didn’t seem like anything special. But now I always have them on-hand. Why? Because alstroemerias are:
Styling Suggestion: Buy bunches of alstroemerias in a few different shades. Put them in one large vase, with the bunches arranged from light to dark. You can also put each bunch in a different container and display them together for an alstroemeria vignette. For a less wild look, remove half of the leaves from each stem.
